4/27/06 From The Mail Sack

It's been a while since we dipped into the mail sack. All the mutants just seem to be repeating themselves so I haven't been inclined to respond. Until today when I received an e-mail that made my jaw drop from the sheer stupidity of it. It's from someone that calls themself Rogue. Rogue has been previously banned for saying that they should give back a would be school shooters weapons. Anyway, you're not going to believe this one...

Hi

Cool page. Like what you do here. But I find you only look at the story one way. Not once have I read a comment you've made, about even one of these school shootings being acceptable, or needed.

Did you use to be a police officer or something?

I'm not even going to respond to that one. I'm just going to let it stand on it's own merits, or lack thereof.

  3. I'm very emotionally and personally involved with the suspect in one of these cases and it's a nightmare. I've been through alot of things, but this tops them all. I'm not here to cry about what I'm going through, but to make the point that this website has given me alot of comfort.

At first, Trench responded to this case in a negative way to the suspect, but not too harsh. I think that shows some class on his part. By the time the case started unfolding, he began to see more reports from the media, (which, may I add, were extremely exaggerated and glorified), and I can tell you from his responses to these media reports only, (no official facts or information), he has a very good sense about these cases. Obviously very experienced.

I have a minor in CJ and when I originally started my education, I thought I wanted to work in some sort of juv. delinquent program. But as I worked on my degree and after doing my internship, I quickly realized that trying to save all the children, would be like beating my head against a brick wall. Kids are so hard to figure out for many different reasons. But, the home is where it all begins, and we can't do anything about what goes on in the home of these children.

Referring to this Rouge person, unfortunatley we can't do anything about morons with no common sense either. Duh??? I've learned so much more about the criminal justice system since this personal case began. There is alot of it that I don't agree with, because I'm seeing how easily someone innocent of "what they are being charged with" can end up in jail. It's morons like Rouge that makes this system so difficult.

Trench, I have alot of confidence in your opinions. I think you know your sh*t!!!

  4. School shootings aren't needed or acceptable in my opinion, but one thing that I did find amusing was the comment about how Trench only looks at things one way. I say thats amusing and ironic because the whole ''i'm right and damn anybody who diagree's with me'' attitude is an absolute breeding ground for the anger that a lot of kids have in society. Especially kids prone to violent thoughts or behaviour. Almost every case you look at, the kid is pissed off because of this kind of mentality in people. I'm sorry Trench, I appriciate this website and respect you as a person but a lot of the time you just slam your judgement down and get on your high horse.. It's not debate, it's just rude. And no, I'm not a ''Mutant''.

  5. Liza, I respect your opinion but the horse isn't that high when it's murder or attempted murder we're talking about. I just don't buy the excuses that these kids give for wanting to resort to violence of such extreme levels.

  7. I am so jealous of you Trench... you have the best email... what'd you do, sign up for one of those "joke a day" email services?

  8. I am so glad these morons dont have any of my email addresses

  9. Liza, keep in mind that this is a blog, used to take down ones thoughts and opinions as they develop...not a debating forum.

  10. Debating ''forum?'' I'm not even going to bother explaining, it isn't worth it.

Thankyou for that, you just gave a very good example of what I meant, when I spoke about certain attitudes on this website.

  13. I totally disagree with you Liza!

    You say:
"one thing that I did find amusing was the comment about how Trench only looks at things one way. I say thats amusing and ironic because the whole ‘’i'm right and damn anybody who diagree’s with me'’ attitude is an absolute breeding ground for the anger that a lot of kids have in society. I may be wrong, but it sounds like you are trying to blame Trench for promoting violent thoughts and ideas in kids. That's insane!

In my opinion, you need to get your own head screwed on correctly before you form an opinion such as that! Learn how to take criticism with a grain of salt and learn from it, instead of getting so darn defensive! My goodness!

  14. Actually he never critisized me. If you look carefully thats the first post i made on this topic. I was simply pointing out that I don't agree with his arrogance. So yes, you are wrong.
I like this website, but i don't have any problem biting the hand that feeds if I happen to disagree with the hand.
If you want to bitch at me for my statement, then thats fine by me, and has never stopped me saying what I think in the past.:)
    Have a nice day.

  15. I wouldn't say that saying bullying isn't an excuse for murder is arraogance. That's common sense.

  16. I would just like to say to all of those who sympathize with people like rogue or his real name kimveer, I don't know if you live in Montreal, but it is not a subject that should be up to egocentric scrutiny. What happened isn't right and as a student of Concordia it was really scary you don't know what is going to happen. People's opinions are their own, but we have to remember that they are just that expressions of views and are not to be taken as personal,I know that it is hard not to. There is no issue that is one sided. I think that he was just a sad and lonely guy who didn't have anyone to talk to. It's sad to see someone get to that point. Either way what happened happened and to condone such an act is just a lack of education and emotional control. I hope that we can all learn to listen to each other and read the signs before this happens again, if not then we are certainly in trouble. Now we are just too scared to even reach out and try, and that is the real problem. If you listen to others instead of trying to make your point most of the time you see that the other person is saying the exact same thing as you are, and great for those who have the confidence to say what they think is good. high horse or not does it really matter to you? really?

  20. HI, my names sandeep and im from london..
i randomly came across this site while i was doing my coursework and felt like expressing myself on the school shootings issues that have gone on in America.

Im not one 2 stereotype people but from what i know, school can be a very cruel place. these 'jocks' nd 'cheerleaders' and other popular people are seen as normal and desirable but goths and 'nerds' are seen as 'loosers' and not worthy enuff to be known by the more popular crowd.
HOW STUPID IS THAT!? just because sum1 is not like every1 else it doesn't mean they should be treated like a nobody like crap..people talk and look at them a different way. they make jokes at their expense..that is sum evil shit man..they become alone and hurt which turns into anger leading them to a fictional world where hurting others is the onli way forward..and as a result tragic things happen..

I AM NOT SAYING IT IS RIGHT FOR THESE PEOPLE TO KILL OTHERS BUT IT'S ABOUT TIME EVERY1 LOOKS AT THEMSELVES AND THINKS SERIOUSLI ABOUT THE IMPACT IT HAS ON THOSE PEOPLE WHO WE LAFF AT THOSE PEOPLE WE LOOK AT LIKE THEY ARE SHIT..SOCIETY NEEDS TO FIX UP B4 THINGS LIKE THE VIRGINIA TECH MASSACRE HAPPENS AGAIN..IT CAN BE PREVENTED..EVERY1 TALKS ABOUT HOW BULLYING IS WRONG..BULLYING IS BAD..BUT YET IN SOME FORM OR WAY MANY PEOPLE BULLY OTHERS WITHOUT REALISING...ITS ABOUT TIME WE REALISE THE ROOT OF THE CAUSE
